School Access for Books & Resources

May 11, 2021

The past year has been tough on all of us, not least on the fundraising efforts of two incredible charities in The Irish Cancer Society and Pieta House. These two organizations have touched all our lives and the tireless, daily work they do has lasting effects on people’s lives across the country.

Unfortunately, due to ever-present COVID restrictions, they both have been unable to run their respective flagship events, Daffodil Day & Darkness into Light, for the second year in a row. These two events are a vital source of funds to keep the essential service that they provide up and running.

To help cover the loss of these two events we have decided to take part in the great initiative, ‘The ‘Gimme1000’ challenge.

We are holding our fundraising event this Friday 12th February. It will be a nice way to begin our well-deserved midterm break. We are hoping and urging all students to get involved directly or to at least donate to the page listed below. Each student who completes a challenge will receive a prize when we return to school. It would be great to also involve other members of their family in the challenges.

Details of the event are posted on PE Google classrooms.
