Dear School Community,
We want to take a moment to show our love and support for two very special people in our school community Andrea, our secretary, and Dave, our caretaker as they take part in strike action for pension parity.
Andrea and Dave are the heart of our School. Andrea is often the very first smile you see when you walk through our doors, always ready with a kind word, a helping hand, and endless patience. Dave works away every single day, making sure our school is safe, warm, and welcoming. The love and dedication they show our school and community each day is awe inspiring. Between them, they are the glue that hold our school together.
The action they are taking is about something very simple: fairness. Like thousands of other secretaries and caretakers across Ireland, they are asking to be treated with the dignity and equality they deserve after a lifetime of service. We are proud to stand with them.
Their absence from our school community is deeply felt, that shows just how much they do for all of us. As a school community, let’s take this time to support Andrea and Dave, to acknowledge their huge contribution to our school, and to stand in solidarity with them in their fight for fairness.
