A reminder to all parents/guardians of 1st/3rd/6th year students that we will be hosting a Parent Teacher Meeting tomorrow on Thursday 19th March from 4.15pm to 6.45pm. With doors closing at 6.30pm sharp.

To help accommodate this, the school will close 15 minutes earlier at 3.25pm. Please remind your son/daughter to fill out all their teachers’ names and subject in their homework journal to help assist parents on the night. Please note, no students are allowed in the school hall during the meeting.

We are partnered with TUD to help them with research on migrant and refugee experiences in Secondary School. Lots of staff and students have been involved so far, but we know need some parents to help. See below details.

Árpád (from TU Dublin) is doing research on how young people from other countries settle into secondary school in Ireland. 

Árpád is looking for a few parents/guardians from a migrant or refugee background for a short interview. In this interview you can share your experiences as a parent in Ireland, any challenges your family has faced, and what kind of supports or changes would make things easier.

The interview is completely confidential and anonymous (your name will not be shared with anyone).

The interview can be either online or in person. It takes about 30 to 60 minutes, and you can choose a time that suits you.

Fr. Cory has invited our school community to join in celebrating the opening of the Jubilee Year, marking the 150th anniversary of the Church of the Holy Family, Aughrim Street.

Mass will take place this Sunday, 8th February, at 10.30 a.m. in Church of the Holy Family, Aughrim Street.

RE: Early School Closure – Monday 12th January 2026 All Students

We wish to inform you that the school will close 40 minutes early at 3.00 p.m. on Monday 12th January 2026 to facilitate a staff meeting.

All classes will finish at 3.00 p.m. on this day, and students are asked to make the necessary arrangements for travel home.

The staff meeting is important to support ongoing planning and development within the school, and we thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Re: Mock Examinations 3rd and 6th Year

If you have already made payment, please disregard this letter.

As you are aware, Mock Examinations at Junior and Leaving Certificate years will take place in February.

These examinations are set and examined by outside bodies, the cost per student is €100.

Payment must be made on or before Friday, January 16th 2026.

For students that are unable to make payment, completed exam papers will not be sent out to the correction body for processing.

However, to ensure each students gets to practice their exams our school will cover the cost for each student to sit the exams.

Students will return to wearing their full school uniform tomorrow Wednesday 7th January.

Students with PE tomorrow, have the option of wearing the PE tracksuit instead of the uniform provided they have the full outfit i.e. School crested jersey, crested 1/4 zip top and their choice of school crested trousers. Students without the full PE uniform must change for PE as usual.

For Parents dropping students to school, please leave your son/daughter on Manor street and not on the campus as it is dangerous for pedestrians and motorists alike due to the narrow single lane entrance to the school.
