Soccer is a popular sport played in St. Joseph’s Secondary School. The aim is to foster a fun and collaborative atmosphere in which students develop both social and sporting skills. Teams have participated in the Leinster Schools Leagues since 2005. The school has reached the final stages of the competition at U14, U16 and U18 with a victory at U14 in 2008.

Training takes place on the school grounds during the Winter and on the nearby sporting campus at Grangegorman during the Spring. The school provides training for Junior and Senior teams which incorporate all students in the school. These teams are coached by members of staff with the assistance of senior students.

The school is also supported by members of the FAI and local clubs to provide excellent coaching at all levels. Teams have been entered in the Dublin Schools Leagues and Championships again this year at both U15 and U18 level
